|Back to Weekly Renovation|
The Lisle Library's renovation project
began on September 4, 2007. The first
indication that something was happening
was the sign going up at the
Supplies were delivered. In the first week
the east entrance was excavated to prepare
it to become the new main entrance. Concrete
footings were poured and electricity was installed
for new lighting.
During the first phase of the renovation,
entry on the east end was through the
meeting room. The framing was done to
move the exterior door to the far edge of t
he building. The book drop is installed in
the stone pillar.
Inside, the foyer was tiled. The
phone was reinstalled. The ceiling
tiles were replaced. Work was done
to completely refit the restrooms.
The new light fixtures go up and
the drinking fountains installed. On
January 25th the carpet was installed.
