The Lisle Library's renovation project began on September 4, 2007.  Youth Services was the first department to be renovated. Youth Services staff working in Meeting Room B The Youth Services staff moved to Meeting Room B.  It was their home until October 27th.
The shelf lifter moving books The shelf lifter was used to move whole shelves of books to the south side of Youth Services. Then the carpet was taken up. Two layers of carpeting were discovered--and lots of other lost things! Youth Services carpeting being taken up

 The temporary carpey is laid YS reopened on Saturday, October 27, with temporary furniture. The permanent carpet will arrive in late January. The curved soffit emphasizes the location of a new service desk. Some patrons in the re-opened Youth Services Department

New tables and chairs in Youth Services The new carpet was installed January14th in north half of Youth Services, January 21st in the south. The new furniture arrived on January 24th. Orange and purple upholstery! On January 29th, 2008 Youth Services was completed and ready for the re-re-open.
