Download
to your Kindle
Access
our digital collection online at www.lislelibrary.org. Click
on the ebooks/audiobooks logo to access eMediaLibrary. Checking
out eBooks and transferring to device: 1.
Click on
"Account" at the top of the screen, search for Lisle Library District and
enter your library card number and PIN (last 4 digits of your phone
number.) 2.
To set your
loan period, click on "Settings" and select your preferred
checkout period. 3.
From the
eMediaLibrary page search or browse for titles. 4.
When you have
found a book to check out click on "Borrow" and then on "Go
to Bookshelf" 5.
Select
"Download" and click the Kindle book format. 6.
You will be
taken to Amazon.com. 7.
Once directed
to Amazon.com, click "Get Library book" 8.
Log in to the
Amazon account which is linked to your kindle. 9.
You are now
given a choice on which device you would like this transferred to. If you want
it transferred to your Kindle, make sure your Kindle’s name is selected
and click on the "Continue" button. 10.
If your
Kindle is automatically connected to a wireless network (WiFi), you should
be able to see your book on your Kindle. Returning eBooks early Your library eBook will automatically expire
after the lending period. You are not required to return eBook and there
are no late fee. However, you are able to return an eBook before the
lending period is over. 1.
Log
in to your Amazon account. 2.
Mouse
over "Your Account," once the drop down menu appears click
on "Manage Your Kindle." 3. You should see the book you checked out. Click on the “Actions…” button to the right and select “Return this book.” Once it is returned, you can select “Actions…” again and “Delete from library”. This will remove the file. Please note ·

Download
to your tablet or mobile device: 1.
Go to the App store on your device and search for "Overdrive
Media Console". Select and download the App. 2.
Open the App. From the home screen click on "Settings" at
the bottom then select "Authorize with Adobe ID". 3.
If you already have an Adobe ID, enter it here, if not select
"Get Adobe ID" and create a login. 4.
Once back on the home screen for Overdrive select the "Get
Books +" icon at the top and search for Lisle Library District. 5.
Select Lisle Library District and then eMediaLibrary. You will be
taken to the mobile site for eMediaLibrary and your device will remember
this for future use. 6.
You are now ready to search for an eBook. 7.
Click on Account on the top of the screen, search for the Lisle
Library District and enter you library card number and PIN (last 4 digits
of your phone number.) 8.
To set your loan period, click on "Settings" and select
your preferred checkout period. 9.
From the eMediaLibrary home page search or browse for titles. 10.
When you have found a book to check out click on "Borrow"
and then on "Go to Bookshelf." 11.
Next select "Download" and click the Adobe EPUB format.
The ebook should download to your device. 12.
Go back to the Overdrive app, you are now ready to enjoy your book. Returning
eBooks early: Your library
eBook will automatically expire after the lending period. You are not
required to return eBooks and there are no late fees. However, using the
Overdrive Media Console App, you are able to return an eBook before the
lending period is over. 1.
While in the App on your device, click on the arrow to the right of
the book you want to return. 2.
Swipe the arrow to the left and a delete option will appear 3.
Click on the small arrow in the upper-left-hand corner of the title
image and select "Return Borrowed Item". 4.
Do NOT click "Delete Item" before you return the book. If
you do this, you will not be able to return it early. Please

Download to your Nook Simple Touch, Sony e-reader or KoboAccess
our digital collection online at www.lislelibrary.org. Click
on the ebooks/audiobooks logo to access eMediaLibrary. Downloading
Adobe Digital Editions: 1.
Adobe Digital Editions (ADE) is a free software application necessary to
view and manage digital books on your PC. 2. From
the eMediaLibrary home page click on the "help" icon at the top
of the screen, then click on "software" and select "Adobe
Digital Editions". You will then be able to download ADE. 3.
Follow the prompts to install the program for your Operating System. ADE
will download and open once installation is complete. 4. When
opened after installation a “Setup Assistant” dialog box will appear
to authorize the program on your computer. 5. If
you do not have an Adobe ID you will need to click on "get an Adobe
ID online". After, return to the activation screen to authorize your
computer with your new Adobe ID. Check
out and transfer to device: 1. Click on Account
on the top of the screen, search for the Lisle Library District and enter
you library card number and PIN (last 4 digits of your phone number.) 2. To set your loan

drag your book from the ADE library to the device to transfer. Returning eBooks

ADE on your PC, plug in your eReader to your computer and turn it on. 2. In
the ADE library view, right click on the eBook and select "Return
borrowed item." 3.
Next, select your eReader on the left hand side of ADE. 4.
Right click on the eBook and select "Remove from library." Please note: •
