Our Services include:

  • Assistance with research questions by experienced librarians

  • Instructions in library use, Internet use, and database searching by appointment, or in a workshop setting -- please check the online calendar for specific dates/times of classes

  • The current year’s local government documents for Lisle residents

  • Recommendations for leisure reading

  • A large print collection

  • Interlibrary loaning of books, articles, film/video, audio books, and cds
    from other libraries.

Book/Film Groups:

Adult services hosts 5 different discussion groups each month.  Please check the online calendar for specific dates and times.  Book group books are available in Adult Services for check-out. Bookmarks indicating books selected are available for all!  Please feel free to email or call (630.971.1675) the facilitator of each group for more information or just to chat books or films:

Readers Advisors Book Discussion: contemporary, historical, general & classic fiction selections 
Meets 2nd Thursday of the month @ 7:00pm, unless otherwise indicated

Meets 3rd Thursday of the month @ 7:00pm, unless otherwise indicated

Meets 4th Wednesday of the month @ 7:00pm, unless otherwise indicated

Meet the last Wednesday of the month @ 2:00pm, unless otherwise indicated

Those wanting Home Delivery Service must:.

  • Reside in the Lisle Library District
  • Own (or acquire) a valid Lisle Library card
  • Be unable to get to the Library due to disability or situation which prevents visiting in person for an extended period of time

To request service, call Adult Services (630) 971-1675 and ask for Linda Anderanin (click name for email).

Delivery Schedule:

Currently, books are delivered and picked up by volunteers every other Wednesday.
