Horrorween Awaits You @ Lisle Library!
While the first "Horrorween" feature showing, The Mummy, has just taken place -- there's still time to come to see Son of Frankenstein and House of Frankenstein! This year's classic horror movies, expertly guided by Richard Flint, our own horror afficiando extraordinare, focus on films starring Boris Karloff. Last year we saw him in the quintessential version of Frankenstein. This year he revisits the role in both Son of Frankenstein next Monday night, Oct. 13, and in House of Frankenstein, Monday Oct. 20th. All three Horrorween events begin at 6:30 p.m. with comments by Richard, followed by showing the movie, and wrapped up with time for your comments. And, of course, there will be monsterous morsels to munch!
Special note: Due to its length, we will be showing Son of Frankenstein around 6:45.
Thanks to Linda Anderanin, we also have a special Horrorween display going on by the Reference desk with books, dvds, etc. relating to the horror movie studios, its stars, and its films. Display items can be checked out.
