Our happy band of MAF members who braved both the weather and the St. Patrick's Day parade in downtown Chicago, had a great time at the convention again this year. Members particularly liked hearing Jeffrey Deaver and Gillian Flynn interview each other, seeing and talking to our friend Lori Rader-Day, and think master of ceremonies Eric Beetner is the bees knees!   Then Sisters in Crime's Midwest Chapter President, Patricia Skalka, did a fine job interviewing Gillian Flynn over a fine box lunch sponsored by Sisters in Crime. This was attended by founder Sara Paretsky who happened to sit at our table!

And the day concluded with a very fun and interesting dual interview where Jeffery Deaver & Gillian Flynn interviewed each other! Gillian also received the Murder and Mayhem in Chicago Sara Paretsky Award.
