Sad news about Leonard Nimoy

I just learned that Leonard Nimoy has passed away, at the age of 83.  You may click HERE to go to the article in the New York Times, which is quite nice and a great tribute.   I think all of us would, of course, associate him with Spock, but the article was a good reminder that this talented man's work went well beyond Star Trek.   Although, the article does note that he was not known for wonderful music:

Though his speaking voice was among his chief assets as an actor, the critical consensus was that his music was mortifying. Mr. Nimoy, however, was undaunted, and his fans seemed to enjoy the camp of his covers of songs like “If I Had a Hammer.” (His first album was called “Leonard Nimoy Presents Mr. Spock’s Music From Outer Space.”)

Thanks for posting about this, Jen. He will be missed. BTW, another SF-F thing that I associate him with is, of course, the original Invasion of the Body Snatchers movie which he starred in.
