Tatiana Weinstein, Library Director

Tatiana acts for the benefit of the residents of the Lisle Library District by directing services and programs in accordance with the Library’s mission, vision, values, goals, and objectives and is accountable to the seven-member Board of Trustees. Tatiana assists the Board of Trustees in the formulation, design, and implementation of policy, long-range planning, and is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the facility, financial management, personnel, and programs. Tatiana has served in a variety of capacities at LLD since 1998, from Readers’ Advisor to Reference Librarian to Assistant Director of Information Services to Assistant Director/Director of Adult Services to her current position as Director. She holds both an MLIS and MA.
Interests: Reading, Writing, Painting/Illustrating, Chess, Badminton, and Golf

Will Savage, Assistant Director

Will has been a Lisle resident for the majority of his life and began working as the Director of Youth Services at the Lisle Library District in 2014. In 2023, he assumed the role of Assistant Director. As the Assistant Director, he is responsible for coordinating with the Director to ensure that the Library functions smoothly on a day-to-day basis. He also is responsible for maintaining the facility, keeping the building welcoming and safe for all patrons. Will loves working in the town he grew up in, and for the people who make it a wonderful place to live.

Paul Hurt, Circulation Services Director

Paul Hurt supervises the Circulation Services Department, which includes the management of patron accounts and the flow of materials in and out of the Library. He also is the Library’s Polaris Administrator. He joined Library in 2012, but has worked in libraries (public and school)- for over 25 years. He received his Master’s in Library and Information Science from Dominican University, and he also has a Master of Arts in Education-School Leadership from Olivet Nazarene University. Contact him with your questions about: library cards, interlibrary loans, lost or damaged items, and/or patron accounts.
Interests: Spending time with his family, serving the LLD community, playing the trombone, being a fantasy football league manager, and playing golf and tennis.

Elizabeth Hopkins, Adult Services Director

Elizabeth Hopkins directs and supervises the Adult Services Department, a team that serves adults through programming, materials, and services. Elizabeth has been with the LLD since 2013. While she has always been a library user, she officially began her career in librarianship at the Oak Park and Berwyn Public Libraries while completing her MLIS at Dominican University. Elizabeth believes the library is the pillar for lifelong learning in the community, and it is in this spirit that she strives to meet patrons’ educational/creative/professional needs through a diverse collection, engaging programming, and high-quality customer service. She also enthusiastically celebrates the freedom to read and finds that the best conversations start with: "What are you reading?"
Interests: Cooking and baking for family and friends, rescue dogs (especially her own), and books. Always books.
Laura Murff, Technical Services Director

Laura supervises the Technical Services Department, where the behind-the-scenes magic happens: ordering, receiving, and cataloging materials for the LLD. She started her library career in 2002 in Texas, where she earned her MLS and gained valuable experience in Public and University libraries. After moving to Chicago, she worked at Northeastern Illinois University, then Morton Grove Public Library. She joined LLD in 2014 as a part-time librarian, while completing a Master’s in Intellectual Property Law. Laura believes in the altruistic purpose of libraries to serve and enhance society by providing access to information and, as such, believes the duty of the Technical Services Department is to ensure the community can access the Library's resources.
Interests: Reading captivating nonfiction, scratching her rescue dog behind the ears, and driving her Jeep in the mountains. She wishes that she could do all three at the same time.
John Ferrari, Youth Services Director

John Ferrari supervises the Youth Services Department with a focus on providing engaging materials and experiences for children and their guardians. John became part of the LLD team in 2011 as the Junior High Coordinator before becoming the YS Assistant Director in 2014. He earned a degree in English Literature from Illinois State University before completing his Master of Library Science Degree at Dominican University in River Forest Illinois. John adamantly believes that libraries should help children discover what they are passionate about and be a resource for self-guided learning. As a proud father, he also appreciates the need to get the kids out of the house every once in a while.
Interests: Comic Books, Bird Watching, Poetry, and Pro Wrestling
On Youth Development: “A youth services department needs to be more than just books. It should be a third space where children get to learn through play, interact with their peers, and exercise agency in a safe environment.”
