Book Club Requests

LLD offers interlibrary loan services to local book groups. In an effort to accommodate private discussion groups that meet outside of LLD, patrons with valid LLD cards may request multiple copies of books from other libraries.

Guidelines

Local book clubs may request multiple copies of books if books are:

  • not current best sellers
  • at least 6 months old
  • not on hold at other libraries
  • available at lending libraries
How To Make A Request
  1. Please designate a contact person for your book club. The contact person must be an LLD card holder in “good standing” (the card is current and without significant fines/overdue materials).
  2. The contact person must complete a Book Club Request Form at least five weeks prior to the time of the discussion (paper forms are available at Adult Services desks). Please submit your requests as far in advance as possible. Please submit a separate form for each title request.

Need a Book Discussion Guide for your individual group? We've got you covered!
The LLD offers Book Discussion Guides to accommodate private discussion groups. A librarian will prepare a Book Discussion Guide for any member of a book discussion group who has a valid LLD card.

Requests for a Book Discussion Guide must be submitted a minimum of two weeks before the discussion date using the Book Discussion Guide Request Form. Submit a request and learn more HERE!
